Hi Experts,

While defining a new SAP job in CPS system, the default queue is not populkating automatically. However the que name populates while importin through ImportCCMSjobs.

We are trying to create a new job using manual setup. Please advice.

Thanks,

Babu

We are creating the job through below steps:

  1. Create new definition using manual setup
  2. In source tab  select BASH
  3. In Job definition tab partion we are giving as our system
  4. Name of the job
  5. Application as SAP

Save and close

when we submit, the queue is not coming and hence we are not able to schedule the job. It throws an error queue is not filled. Whereas on importing jobs from SAP it shows queue automatically. Please advice.

Thanks,

Babu

hey Babu,

The bash job needs a queue that connects to a process server that provides BASH job definition services. In other words, do you have a platform agent installed in the unix/linux machine?

If yes, do you have a queue created and pointing to that platform agent?

If no, then you have  to  install the platform agent in the unix/linux  server and create a queue.

You are able to see the queue for the SAP job, because you have a process server defined for that SAP system and a queue exists pointing to that system.

Thanks

Hi Babu,

I will add to what Nanda said. First check if your process server has a queue, if not, you can assign an existing one or create one.

  1. Navigate to "Environment > Process Servers"
  2. Choose "Edit" from the context-menu of the process server
  3. On the "Queues" tab, make sure the process server is assigned to at least one queue. You can add a queue and select "New" to create a new queue if there are none.
  4. Choose "Save & Close"
  5. Navigate to "Definitions > Job Definitions"
  6. Choose "Edit" from the context-menu of the job definition
  7. On the "Job Definition" tab, select a queue in the field "Default Queue" you found in step 3.
  8. Choose "Save & Close"
  9. Choose "Submit" from the context-menu of the job definition, notice the queue is already set 😉
