Solution manager key no longer required for installation and upgrades

Hi Seniors,

I have seen one SAP Note 811923 - SAP Solution Manager Key . It says solution manager key is no longer required for installation and upgrades. This note is released on 03.04.2014.

So from which NetWeaver version, it is applicable? It is not mentioned in the note. Could anyone clear this please.

I believe it applies to all the products. Previously key was required for products based on BS 2005. Most likely the new installation tools are designed to avoid this.

You are correct sri,

From netweaver 7.3 and later release we do not need solution manager key at the time of installation.
