Master data query missing hierarchy nodes

Former Member

We have a simple master data query that displays profit center hiearchy in BEx Analyzer version 3.5.  The query does not display any key figures, just the hierarchy.  For some reason, some hierarchy nodes are missing in the query output.  We do have master data for the missing hierarchy nodes.  The BEx query was created directly on the Profit Center InfoObject.

Below is an example to illustrate what I'm trying to say.

In BW System we have the following profit center hierarchy.

Profit Center Group 1

    Profit Center Node 1

    Profit Center Node 2

    Profit Center Node 3

    Profit Center Node 4

The query displays the following information:

Profit Center Group 1

  Profit Center Node 1

  Profit Center Node 3

  Profit Center Node 4

As you can see, Profit Center Node 2 is missing from the query.

Is there some kind of a setting that I need to change in order to display all hierarchy nodes?  There is no data booked on the missing nodes, but we have other nodes that don't have anything booked on them either, and they are still displayed in the query.

Thank you for your help.

Nadia

I have done an attribute run and also regenerated the report in RSRT.  That didn't help.  The hierarchy is maintained in BW, and it looks fine in BW.  It's just that the BEx query is missing some nodes.

info object(profit center) --> change mode-->hierarchy tab -- maintain hierarchy - here are you able to see all nodes at bw side?

Can you activate your hierarchy structure and again try to check thru report.

Yes, I can see the nodes if I go to "maintain hiearchy".  I reactivated the hierarchy and then ran rsrt, but the query is still missing nodes.

do oen thing.

if possible, you can removie profit center node 2 form your hierarchy str, save and activate it.

check your report whether it shows 3 or 3 nodes.

if it shwos 3 nodes with node 2. its ok later.

later you can add node 2 to hierarchy, save and activate it.

Run you can attribute change run.

check your report.

Where your facing this problem? at dev or prod?

Hi,

have you check same nodes in ECC side and check functional team

or if you are maintaing the custome hier in BW

perform the attr/hier change run for the  0profit center later and check the acitve master data funciton.

later run

later run the bex analyzer or RSRT.

Thanks,

Phani.

Hi,

Try to run attribute change run for your info object.

later you can regenerate your query from RSRT and after that you can check your report.

it may shows all nodes.

Thanks
