Users not able to submit orders in Enterprise Portal using Firefox / Chrome

Hi Experts.

Users are not able to submit orders using Firefox and Chrome in the Dev and QA environment. Internet Explorer is OK. When they try to submit the order it says"Waiting for nwxxx.xxx.com" and then times out.

Also, users are able to get through Firefox and Chrome on the Prod box.

I have looked at note 1666862 but there is no option for :

Configuration". Select "Service Configuration" in DTN. Open "Applications" and navigate to "com.sap.portal.useragent"  this doesn't exist .

How do I give users access to use firefox  and chrome?

We are at NW 7.0 SP16.

Need help ASAP , little urgent.

Hi,

According to the Product Availability Matrix provided by SAP under Product Availability Matrix | SAP Support Portal your version does not seem to support those browsers.

Seems like you need 7.0 SPS 31 to support Firefox and at least 7.02 SPS 12 to support Chrome.

Hi Experts,

Any idea what I am missing here? Users can't submit orders using firefox or chrome in Dev and QA but can using internet explorer,

On Production system , users can submit orders using all browsers.

Check your local firewall settings for Firefox & Chrome..

Hi Giri,

Windows firewall was already off, and I disabled Symantec firewall as well. Still getting the same issue.

On submitting the order it says waiting for nwxxx.xxx.com and then times out.

Check Portal time out settings, and also post event viewer & sap logs

Hi Giri,

There are no logs written in /usr/sap/SID/j2ee/work or /usr/sap/SID/j2ee/cluster/server0.

The portal is a unix box.

Hi Giri,

Any other suggestions what I should look at? Users are able to get to the prod portal without any issue, issue is only with the dev and qa portals.
