Hello all,
This is a question with regards to transports.
Today I have created updated a mapping and put into Transport Request 1234.
Tomorrow I updated the same mapping and put into another Transport Request 1235.
If I transport only request 1234 from Dev to QA, does the mapping reflect the updated mapping (Transport 1235) ?
Hi Lee,
Once you create transport request (if using CTS) or a file (if using file transports), it will generate a copy of existing objects(applicable to all objects including mappings). And that particular transport wont get updated with your new changes. The same concept is applicable in ABAP coding as well.
So as per your query, if you transport only request 1234, it wont reflect the updated mapping (Transport 1235)

Hi Tommy,
Your PI QA server will only reflect the mapping changes included in latest transported request.1234.
It won't reflect mapping changes included in transport request.1235, since these are not transported yet.

Hi Tommy,
No it will not reflect, only your old mapping 1234 will get reflected in your QA system.
Thanks,
Naveen
