Dear Gurus
According to OSS note 2081050 - Upgrades and EHP Updates to Suite 2013 SP06, an upgrade to Suite7i2013 SP06 requires the new Support Release 2 DVDs to be used (will be available soon).
Why Stack upgrade requires DVD? As i know in case of stack upgrade, shadow instance is built as a copy ( dbclone) of existing repository. Upgrade export DVD are in use in case of release update only.
Can somebody explain what happens?
Regards
Vladimir Kogan
Short update on the case for interested readers:
looks like a temporary issue in MOpz that should be fixed now.

Hi Boris,
I have a similar issue with SRM upgrade from SRM 5.0/NW7.0 to SRM 7.0 EHP3 SP06/NW7.40.
I have generated a stack file via MOpz and the stack file contains DVD:
<dvd caption="BS7I2013_SR1_UPGRADE: EHP3 FOR SAP SRM 7.0 - Stack 03" id="f80b9f40-3741-11e3-b198-005056a204ff" type="upgrade">
With the availability of Support Release 2, the DVDs of the predecessor Support Release 1 have been archived. I cannot find DVD for BS7I2013_SR1_UPGRADE
Why SUM requests the DVD and why requests BS7I2013_SR1_UPGRADE?
Should be requested BS7I2013_SR2_UPGRADE, or not?
2081050 - Upgrades and EHP Updates to Suite 2013 SP06 --> Upgrade was released at 05.12.2014
I have attached stack.xml and stack.txt
Could you please check and help?
Thank you
Rupert Kovacs
Hello Tomas,
Thank you for your quick answer.
Could you please help me with this DVD?
In EXTRACTION phase SUM requests the DVD BS2013_SR1 with ID f80b9f40-
3741-11e3-b198-005056a204ff.
Is it possible to provide me this DVD from archive?
Or how can I download this DVD, from where? Because from Market place I cannot download anymore.
Best regards,
Rupert Kovacs
Hello Rupert,
it seems you're falling on the symptoms of note #1998891? Are you sure the caption f80b9f40-3741-11e3-b198-005056a204ff is for SRM, and not SCM?
Since the caption is (should be ) unique, there is an error somewhere, either on your XML stack file of on the note. I'll discuss this with a MOPZ colleague and come back to you later on.

Hello Tomas,
Source system is SRM 5.0 based on NW7.0
Target should be SRM 7.0 EHP3 SP06 based on NW7.4
Stack file contains DVD:
<dvd caption="BS7I2013_SR1_UPGRADE: EHP3 FOR SAP SRM 7.0 - Stack 03" id="f80b9f40-3741-11e3-b198-005056a204ff" type="upgrade">
So I am sure that the caption is for SRM.
P.S.:
I have downloaded all medias from Market place for SRM 7.0 EHP3 and NW7.4 with Support Release 2.

Hi Andreas,
Thank you very much for your answer.
SAP note 1940845 solved the issue with wrong stack.xml file (wrong DVD with wrong ID)
SAP note has been applied and issue solved.
I have received a new error with: Source release 700 SP8 needs at least SP14.
Can we do it in one step with upgrade or not? We need first update SP level via SUM and than upgrade via SUM? Or we can do it in one step in one SUM, is it possible?
Best regards,
Rupert Kovacs
Hi Rupert,
glad to know that I could help.
Regarding your second issue I would ask you to check note #1942969.
If your target release is EHP7 (based on SAP_BASIS 740) and your source system is
ECC6.0 (based on SAP_BASIS 700) then your basis patch level needs to be at least SP14.
So please...
Cheers,
Andreas
Hello Rupert,
thanks for confirming the issue is resolved with note #1940845.
In the meantime I discussed the problem with the MOPZ colleague, who asked to always check note #1887979 for the corresponding notes to be implemented on the Solution Manager before generating the XML stack file. Note #1940845 is one of the listed notes.
I'm putting up this comment for all community to be aware of the solution.
Best regards,
Tomas Black
Hello Tomas,
SRM upgrade from 5.0/NW7.0 to SRM 7.13/NW 7.4
During preprocessing phase in ACT_UPG step error occurred:
3 EDT014XActivate dependent table "BAPIEKPOC"
3EEDT002 Table "BAPIEKPOC" does not exist
3 EDT015 Dependent table "BAPIEKPOC" was not activated
Can I ACCEPT non-severe errors amd repeat phase MAIN_SHDRUN/ACT_UPG?
Regards
Rupert
Hello Rupert,
(apologies for the delay in getting back to you, I was away on vacations)
no, you should not ignore it. You should check the reason it is not getting activated. Please log on shadow instance and check BAPIEKPOC in SE11. Do the same on the source system (check if it is active and consistent on the source system). Compare both structures to try to find the reason why it errored out during ACT_UPG.
Updated us on the outcome.
Regards,
Tomas

Hi
you are right , but!
As written in note:
If you would like to run the EHP installation to Suite7i2013 SP06 directly, please wait for the release of the same shortly after RTC of SP06. You still
have the option to run the EHP installation to Suite7i2013 SP05 (or lower) and update the system to SP06 as a second step.
I have a fresh installation of SAP CRM 7 EHP 3 ( SP03). When I try to update to stack 06 with SUM it asks me for DVD. According to note, I cannot update directly to SP06 without the DVD...
Why DVD is required for EHP update ?
Regards
Vladimir
Hi Vladimir,
well, the SAP Note does not say anything about a DVD for the update.
I do understand that you are wondering why the SUM requests the DVD - I wonder as well.
So please either open an incident for this, or send me the stack.xml and specify the exact SUM SP and patch level.
Regards, Boris
