Setup with Mergemoduls fails on Windows7 and 8

Hi,

I have a Problem with a Setup I have created.

I am using installshield and the mergemoduls CRforVS_mergemodules_13_0_9. I don't know since when the Setup Fails, but on windows7 and Windows 8.1 I get an Registration error:

c:\.....\win32_x86\crtslv.dll, pageobjectmodel.dll, reportrenderer.dll, saxmlserialize,commonobjmodell.dll, objectfactory.dll and others

HRESULT: -2147010895

I am nearly sure, that my Setup did run on Windows 7.

If I use the msi file CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_9.msi the Installation is running. After Installing the msi file my Setup is running. I assume that something Needs to added to my Setup. Maybe someone knows what is missing.

I have to use a self written Setup because I Need to install a ufl on the custers machine.

Hi Joerg,

Correct, Merge Modules do not include any dependencies. Likely what you are missing is the VS 2005 C++ Security msi.

Try installing that first before installing CR then it should work fine.
