Single Warehouse order creation for mulitiple Outbound deliveries

Hello,

We have a following requirement.

If my wave for example has 10 deliveries from 5 customers.

Our requirement is to create a single warehouse order for a common ship to party(I.e 5 Warehouse orders),upon wave release.

Can this be accomplished with WO creation rules or do we have to do enhancement?

Could you please advice if we have any enhancements/Badi to achieve the result?

Regards

Hi,

that should be possible without any enhancement. This is what you use consolidation groups for. You let the system create them by ship-to-party and use that in the WOCR.

Hello Juergen,

Thanks for the quick help.

do we need to add the WOCR to the activity area as well?

Hi,

depends how you want to do the determination of the WOCR, but "standard" in outbound would probably be the activity area. If it is limited, you could use the warehouse process type and enter it directly in there.

Hello Juergen,

We have a wave having 2 deliveries (Having 1 item each).

The delivery items have the same consolidation group based on identical ship to part/yroute/delivery priority.

But when we release the wave it still created 2 warehouse orders.

Is there some config that i am missing?

Appreciate your help.

Hi

Best way to analyse issue is by activating WO creation log. This will give you step by step result of WOCR filters.

Check if correct WOCR rule is determined in WO. Incase correct WOCR determined...Check at what point it is getting split in WO creation log. It can be due to max lines items setting in subtotal filter/Limit filter. Or may be any other setting.

Hi,

does the system find your defined WOCR? Or does it use a default rule? But using the log as Phani suggested is the easiest way to find out the issue.

Hi Vatrapu

Have you defined subtotal filters ? This is defined in the same node as item filters with filter type "subtotal filter". After WTs pass item filters ..subtotal filter is used to define limits for group of WTs belonging to same consolidation group. Please check and let me know.

In WOCR configuration which creation category you have chosen. Is it pick path / Pick Pack pass / consolidation group? I used pick path creation category, item filter, subtotal filter, Limit filter. System is able to group WTs of consolidation group.

Hello Phani,

We are not using Sub total filters for WO creation rule.

We are using "pick path" as "creation category" in the WO Creation rule.

Hi Vatrapu

Subtotal filter is not mandatory. However not sure what else might be causing this issue. If possible create a subtotal filter such that all items will pass. Then see if WT grouping happens. Just to rule out possibility.

Hi,

why do you not use the creation category "consolidation group"?

Hello Juergen,

We did a switch to " Consolidation group" to check.but it didnt help.

One thing i noticed though is that after the 2 warehouse  orders are created ,i cancel them.

after that when i select the 2 WTs and i simulate WO creation ,by inputting my WO Creation rule,

i get a single WO.

I will see if any of the custom code is influencing.

Again thanks a lot for your help.

When I look into the log a my test, the log already looks completely different:

in mine the system immediately start with two WTs and does the WOCR determination. In your log the two WTs are processed one by one - and then they will never come into one WO.
