Batch determination in STO

Hi,

I am aware that in sales order we can have automatic batch determination.

Is similar batch determination also possible in STO?

In configuration I could not see not for auto batch determination for STO as it is there for SD.

One of the configuration is related to movement type but STO as such does not have any movement type associated to it.

So can you please let me know the settings in order to populate batches in STO.if it is possible?

The Standard Batch  determination Procedure does not work in STO (PO),  this is mainly because the  Batch field in the PO is the "Receiving" batch  and NOT the Issuing Batch.   i.e.  Even if you specify the Batch in the STO,  system can still determine a Different batch at time of Delivery creation. This also results in problems  at time of goods receipts  as system then Looks to receive the Batch  specified in PO  but it does not match with the issued batch.
