Is there a way to import favorites from NWBC 4.0 to NWBC 5.0

Is there a (convenient) way of exporting favorites from NWBC 4.0 and importing them to NWBC 5.0?

Hi Patrick,

NWBC 5.0 will automatically migrate your 4.0 favorites into the new format. There are two indicators to start the migration:

1.) The file NwbcFavorites.xml can not be found in the folder %APPDATA%\SAP\NWBC

2.) There is no backup file from the new favorites in the folder %APPDATA%\SAP\NWBC\Backup

If both conditions are true and you start NWBC 5.0 then the old favorites stored in %APPDATA%\SAP\NWBC\NWBC.favorites will be converted into the new format and the file NwbcFavorites.xml will be created.

If you think this does not work, then please check both conditions on your machine and delete the new favorite file and delete the whole backup folder. Restart NWBC 5.0 and then it should do the migration.

But once the migration happened, favorites are not compatible between 4.0 and 5.0. That means with a parallel installation of 4.0 and 5.0 you cannot create favorites in 4.0 and use them in 5.0 and vice versa.
