User-Defined Tables in SAP Business One

Former Member

Hi,

In SAP Business One, there are 4 types of user-defined tables, namely:

  • Master Data Default Table
  • Master Data Lines Default Table
  • Document Default Table
  • Document Lines Default Table

What is the rule of thumb in deciding what table type to use?

Thanks,

Noel

Thanks Nagarajan,

The link you sent is helpful.  However, I am more concerned in determining the object type when creating tables.

For example, I will create a Production Number table.  Should I create it as an Master data or Document default table?  What is the rule of thumb in choosing the object type.

Thanks,

Noel

Hi Noel,

The rule of thumb is: if you have header/line type of transaction, use document type.
