SAP R3 transfer to SAP Business One

Hi,

After a management buy-out, we are looking at moving a client from SAP R3 to SBO. Is there any information and/or "simple" data transfer applications that anyone is aware of?

I am a new partner to the SAP team, so please try to keep things simple. Having said that, I have implemented R3 S&D as a client, and have other ERP system experience, so please feel free to challenge me.

Hi Alex,

B1 transfer from R3 directly is not feasible. You have to follow normal implementation step to prepare new B1. The major steps are preparing all master data. Only SD may not be good enough. B1 is a complete system. FI/CO part needs more input.

Thanks Nagarajan, having a look at the thread, it puts the onus implementation to "re-invent the wheel" so-to-speak.

I wondered if someone had developed a data extraction from R3 which would fit nicely into the relevant DTW spreadsheets.

If not, I understand and will work from the premise that I will need to start from the beginning. I suppose I still have to find out from the client how much he wants to bring over, so it may not actually be a huge issue.
