Dear All Experts,

Could you tell me how to post material scrap to the related production order?

And why can't I use MB1A with movement type 551 to post order? Is it possible?

Thanks!

Hi ,

You can't.. 551 is movement type to post scrap to cost center. You should have qty in block stock to post traxn

If you identify scrap related to Production order , you should post as scrap in Confirmation traxn.. Co11n.  Production order variance will be equivelent to Scrap posting when production order in unable to produce full qty. You should TECO order & post variance.

Hope it helps,

Hello Zhang,

On discrete manufacturing the standard movement 261 is  used to consume the components in case of scrap

Go to C015/Co11n instead of "Yeld",  you will input the "Confirmed scrap". System will then propose the goods issue of the components using 261,

Please check and confirm the same

Hi,

    Thanks!

The problem is that we want to seperate the scrap with different movement type.

Like the way we post scrap with MFBF which use the movement type 551.

     Any other solution?

     Thanks!

Hello Zhang

In that case you can use scrap the material from Un-restricted Stock or Blocked Stock.

Use MvT 551 in TCode MB1A

or

MIGO->Goods Issue - (other) if the stock is in Un-restricted

Use MvT 555 if the stock is in Blocked Stock

In these transaction, give the Cost Centre and GL Account to which the value of the Scrap Material is to be posted.

Movement type for your information

551 GI scrap for Defects

553 GI scrapping QI

555 GI scrapping blocked

I hope this information helpful to you

Hi ,

If you post cost to production order , it will be Production order variance equivelent to Scrap posting when production order in unable to produce full qty.

No Qty managemnt is possible for posting scrap cost to prod order

Hope it clear,

Hi,

    I don't understand.

Why it is possible for MFBF to do the scrap, and the scrap cost will go to the product cost collector.

Thanks!

Hello Zhang,

In MFBF (REM Process) Product cost collector is one of the mandatory master data, In discrete manufacturing (Production order) Production cost collector is option.

You configure the product cost collector in Discrete manufacturing also
