Alternative BOM determination

Hi PP Experts

We will be using BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE to create Production order from Manf Exe System(Flat file integration). There are alternate BOM in SAP/MES system & MES will provide input ( indirectly-Flag) in input file which BOM to be used.

Will BAPI have objects to trigger Alternate BOM determination & receive input to pickup correct BOM?

BDC is unable to do 'Alterntive determination' based on screen input  as 'Alternative Determination' is only based on configs.

Hi Jatin,

The alternative BOM determination can be controlled thru the production version. In t-code C223 you maintain the production versions and here you specify which is the alternative BOM that your version will use.

Then you have to indicate the production version in the BAPI. This has to be entered in ORDERDATA-PROD_VERSION.
