Crystal Reports toolbar on Windows 8.1

Hello,

I'm running Crystal Report 2013 SP4.

I have a very very odd problem.

After the installation I noticed that the toolbar icons are tiny.

Has any one else had this problem?

Hi Charles

Unfortunately, saying "I've tried everything", is really not that useful. E.g.; define everything...

Looking at the link Abhilash provided, I note the registry described there it is for CR 2008. For CR 2013 it would be:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\Crystal Reports\Toolbars11\Default\BCGToolbarParameters

Is that what you looked at and set as recommended? If so, what else does "everything" define?

Hi Ludek,

I played around with the windows display settings to see if this changed anything; it changed other programs except crystal; which lead me to believe that the tool bar setting were controlled somewhere else.

I did make the change to the registry entry for LargeIcons from "0" to "1",

I rebooted and I just checked; for some reason it keeps switching the value back to "0"

I am at a lose.

Hi Charles

Interesting. So I decided to google a bit and this may be of interest to us:

Saving application registry changes on Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012</title> <!-- integr...

Registry changes are not persistent through a reboot

Please see if the above help, or see if additional google searches help.

Hi Ludek,

I read through that; but it doesn't help.

It seems that once the register changes are made, they do stick, but they change back when I click the Crystal reports icon.

Hi Charles

What I was trying to say is that this is not an issue caused by Crystal Reports. Rather it is an issue caused by the computer environment. E.g.; please see your IT people, see if they can help.

Hi Ludek,

I don't think this is being caused by the computer environment.

I've had a couple of our most experienced people here look into this.

It seems its crystal itself doing this, Crystal Report 2013 service pack 4.

Hi,

Try this:

Edit -> Toolbars.. -> check "Reset all toolbars and explorers on next restart" -> ok

Thanks,
