Hi,
I have created a BOM for semi-finished product with base quantity as 1 and it consist of three components A, B, C. One of these component A, has fix qty as 3 in BOM.
MRP has generated a planned order for 3 quantities. Using CO48 transaction, I partially converted to production order for 1 quantity. As one component 'A' is having fixed qty in BOM, it get copied to production order with requirement qty as 3.
When I convert pending planned order of 2 quantity to production order, again the component 'A' whose quantity is fixed in BOM, gets copied to production order with 3 as requirement qty. So total required quantity of component become 6, where as actual requirement is of 3 only.
How to resolve this? Is there any setting for this.

Rakesh
Kulkarni,
As far as I know this is standard behavior and you can not avoid this but lets wait for other experts comments.
From SAP help
The quantity fixed quantity is not in proportion to the assembly being produced or the order quantity.
The quantity for provision of material is fixed.

Hi,
Fixed quantity is not in proportion to the assembly being produced or the
order quantity.
This is the standard functionality
You should not convert planned orders partially
always production lot should be fixed according to you're calculation of a component.
