What exactly are you looking for ?
The steps are very simple :
stop all, except CMS/FRS
run Sp4 patch installer using same user who installed original BI4
that's it.

Hi Denis,
As per your words and my understandings
1. first i need download Target patch(SP4) from market place.
2. Place it in SID directory and run ./setup.sh
3. For patch update i have to choose option 2 right?( which is SAP BOBI plantform 4.1 SP4)
Am i right here according to the process??
second thing ./setup.sh i can install Designstudio right?
Please conform for this process if anything i missed can you correct me?
Regards,
Vardhan
Hi Denis,
Sorry SID means sapbobj installation directory in linux.
in linux gui when i ran ./setup.sh its showing three below options
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please select from the following installed products.
1 - SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio 1.2 for BI Platform 4.1
2 - SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4.1 SP2
3 - SAP BusinessObjects Explorer 4.1 SP2
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When i unrar SP4 patch seems same type of GUI will appear right?
For patch installation do i need to install 2nd option right?
if Design studio is seperate components means where is the 1st option here in ./setup.sh file?

Vardhan
Hi,
i agree with Denis. Patching is pretty straight forward. Follow as below:
1. Download packages "BIPLATSVR4104_0-20010869.TGZ" and "DSBIPADDON02_0-20011628.ZIP"
2. Copy them to your SAP BI Server and extrace them
3. Apply full privileg by "chmod -R 755 *"
4. Go to the CMC and stop all services except CMS, Input FRS and Output FRS
5. Stop also the Tomcat WAS
6. Run setup.sh from the first Patch
7. When done apply step 4 and 5
8. Run setup.sh from the second patch
9. Check if everything is still working
Maybe you have to re- deploy your Web Applications manually after the installations. Yu will notice that if none of the Web Applications such as the CMC or the BI LaunchPad will open.
Regards
-Seb.
