Hi everyone,

Does anyone knows if SAP Retail MIM (In-Store Merchandise and Inventory Management with WebDynpro) support the process of vendor consignment across multiple stores?

Thanks,

Hi Filipa,

MIM can generally be used for all store processes related to the complete range of articles, including consignment. Assuming that all the customizing is completed in Retail (activation of retail consignment, definition and assignment of stock determination groups &strategies, etc.), and the master data for consignment articles is up to date (Supply Source & Consignment Control indicators on Logistics Store view, stock determination group on RP / Forecast Data view, Consignment Info Records), then MIM processes should run as required.

The activities initiated in MIM (Goods Receipt, Counting, Ordering, etc) are executed in Retail through standard BADIs, which will consider the master data / customizing settings. Unless there are bespoke client requirements, standard flows should work without problems. Special consideration may be required to handle the sale of these articles at the POS, however this is beyond the scope of MIM.
