SAP Archiving and document access 10.5 installtion

We have installed Sap ECC 6.0 EHP7 box along with VIMS add-ons.

Now we are doing open text installation and not able to install archive server 10.5.

For opentext we have already installed database oracle.

My questions are do we need to install sap instance on open text box also? Because while installing archive server it is asking for some parameters like database user and database service. What inputs we shall give there?

Not Sure from where it is picking up ECR database.(ECR is not our SID).

Good evening,

Please find below inputs for your questions:

1. do we need to install sap instance on open text box also?

No, It is not required to install SAP instance on Open text box also.

You can connect your SAP instance to Archive server by creating Content repository with HTTP connection in SAP.

2. Because while installing archive server it is asking for some parameters like database user and database service. What inputs we shall give there?

These inputs should be the values which are related to Oracle database. Please refer installation document to get more details. It is nothing to do with SAP system.

Hello Saurabh

You need to download the dumps from sap market place for SAP archiving and document access.

In edition to that you should have tomcat latest version installed as a pre-requisite.
