Employee joined years ago..but sap implementing now what does his hire date in sap

Hi Experts...

Can any one clear my doubt...employee joined in company year ago but in his company sap implementing now

what hire date we should maintain for him..where should we maintain?is it in 0000  record start date...

Hi Srinivasa,

Your Hiring date in SAP system should be the actual hiring date i.e. when employee actually joined company.

You should then have IT0003 set-up for employee for Earl. pers. RA date as start date from which you want to have payroll to begin for employee i.e. start date for control record in PA03 transaction for filed Earliest retro acctg. period for the payroll area inIT0001 for the employee.
