What has this to do with SAP PCM?

Don't you mean "FLIGHT RECORDER" ?

its not a flight recorder.

PCM use flight order to do the route profitability analysis.

In that context, “Flight Order“ is the agreement in addition to the Operator Contract which contains detailed information about the flight (made optional/confirmed) and Flight Schedule.

For PCM I think Flight Order is a reference to the direct operating costs, PO's and invoices made upon each planned flight.

The Flight order data may consist of data like:

  • Flight number
  • Flight date
  • Origin Destination
  • Route, distance
  • Fuel Consumption

  • Meals
  • ...

Hope that helps.

It's a way of exploiting the already provided dimensionality (tables) in PCM: LineItemDetails, LineItemValues, ResourceDriverValues, Time, Periods,...
Including the modelling using attribute hierarchies & assignments in PCM.

I'm afraid I can't share the specific model I have available for Airline industry. You can try to ask your SAP representative.
