Trip Schema PL does not exist in the system (T706s)

Dear Team,

The Error massage Trip Schema PL does not exist in the system (T706s) coming while in travel request creation & travel planning creation.

plz give the solution for this issue.

Hello,

As first step you can check in SPRO, if PL schema exist in your trip provision variant.

Financial Accounting -> Travel Management -> Travel Expenses -> Dialog and Travel Expenses Control -> Dialog control -> Define Schema and Individual Field Control

PL is standard trip schema for Travel planing and Request. If you trip provision variant doesn't have it, it have to be copied from client 000. See documentation below:

"Trip schema PL is used for processing travel requests and travel plans. Its function depends on whether it is used in the back-end system or for the Web Dynpro interface.

Trip schema PL stands for a multiday trip without domestic/international differentiation and with internal number assignment. Since it is used by the system only for travel requests and travel plans, it does not have to be explicitly selected by the employee. When the employee settles the travel expenses later, he must then select a trip schema for settlement (such as domestic trip or international trip).

If you are using travel requests or travel plans, you need to copy trip schema PL from client 000 to your client because the settings for trip schemas are client-dependent.

Then check the default values in trip schema PL and change them if necessary. Only enter default values that exist in the corresponding tables in Customizing for Travel Management.

  • Trip schema PL in the back-end system

    With the entry transactions of Travel Management in the back-end system when a travel request (in the Travel Manager) and a travel plan (in the Travel Manager and the Planning Manager) is saved, for technical reasons the associated travel expense report is generated automatically, into which the system integrates the general data and any advances and cost distribution from the travel request or travel plan. This travel expense report has the status "Request" or "Request approved".

    To ensure a correct process flow for this automatic creation of the travel expense report, SAP supplies the technical trip schema PL which the system selects as a kind of placeholder for the actual trip schema, which is still unknown at this point.

  • Trip schema PL for the Web Dynpro interface

    For the services of Travel Management in the Web Dynpro interface, trip schema PL functions exactly like the trip schemas domestic trip/international trip, so it affects the design of the input screens and the field control. However, employees do not need to choose a schema because the system uses schema PL implicitly when the employee selects the service Create Travel Request or Create Travel Plan.

    For the travel request, use trip schema PL to define the design of the input templates and the characteristics of the fields.

    For Travel Planning, specify which additional entries are offered on the screen Complete Booking Information, such as advances or account assignment information.
