SAP GUI failed to start NWBC transaction

Dear Experts,

I have encountered an error with NWBC where it fails to start transactions.  The SAP GUI works fine as does the HTML version of NWBC; however, system is not throwing any error message or nor able to give any output. When i use T code NWBC in footer section message is coming : start of application: launch NWBC after that nothing will happen.  Has anyone seen this issue before?

Hi,

you can check whether the service is activated in transaction SICF.

In the hierarchy:

default_host -> sap -> bc -> nwbc

Right click on that and Test Service.

If you have an error message then right click and Activate Service.

Thanks for your reply.

I have checked service is already activated and its working fine but when i use Tc ode nwbc its not working and not giving any output.

Please suggest other way to check.

Hi,

you should maintain the SAPGui description in NWBC Logon pad:

1. Start NWBC desktop

2. On the "System Selection" popup click on the system, click on change

3. Enter or doublecheck that the "SAP GUI Logon Description" is the same with what you have in your SAPGui Logon pad.

Hi Tamas,

In NWBC Desktop same thing is already avialable which was defined in SAP GUI Logon pad apart from that its not working.

Please suggest?
