Solution manager HA installtion

Dear All,

We have downloaded required SAP , DB software's from SMP.

OS team has given Active-Active servers (CI and DB).

Please let us know the HA pre-checks and how to check further post checks .

FYI: Solamnversion 7.1 , AIX , DB2

Please advise.

Hello John,

You can directly install latest version of 7.1 SP12 for  Solution Manager.

Dear All,

SAP / DB / OS          :     Solman7.1/ DB2 / AIX 7.1

Node A : ASCS(01)+SCS(02) + CI(00) + ERS

Node B : DB + ERS(10)

We have installed SAP HA installation as per the above scenario.

Please let us know above scenario is fine ?

Now we are facing 2 issues during fail over testing .

1, When we try move Node A to Node B , SAP is went down and we have to start SAP manually on Node B.

2, When we try to move from Node B to Node A , we are unable to start DB, it shows command not found.so we are struggling to start sap.

Hi John

In Both Nodes you can keep the SAP instance ON, You can check the your network connection and  SAN Storage fibre connections

I don't know about the AIX Cluster. In windows MSCS we are kept the instance ON on both cluster nodes. When we are failover from Node A to B at max 30 to 60 second all the SAP group resources failover and it will be active stat.

Are you using TSAMP for clustering if so whats the status of it?

FYI: SAP file system were mounted on CI Host

DB files systems were mounted on DB host
