Advantages with Organization Structure in Collections Management

Hi,

I would like to know is there any advantage if we declare less number of collection profiles and segments or groups.

Lets say I have declared one to one mapping of Collections profile to segment and assigned one company code to one segment. Is there any advantage if I reduce this or trim this to some half of the declared no's.

Please clarify me on this.

The Org model is Collections Management needs to met the clients requirements.

Some clients create a single Collection Profile - and then align Segments to Company Codes.

However it all depends on how customers are extended (single company code or many) and how the debt is chased (would a group of collectors manage debt for a single Company Code or many)

There is no right or wrong answer here, you need to advise the client the purpose for each of the fields and work out the pros and cons for each design.
