Registering Auth Client on Jam Test Network

Former Member

Hi everybody!

I would like to know how I can register an auth client, explained here:

SAP Jam Developer Guide

on a JAM test network like that one:

https://jam4.sapjam.com

When I logged in to my test network, I couldn't find   "On the left side of the page, click OAuth Clients."

I have to develop an SAP Jam App for our client who uses SAP Jam. We ourselves don't have a portal, so the only way for me to develop/test the SAP Jam App is by using the test portal.

Anyone can help?

Thanks!

Carli

Hi Carli,

You need to be admin of a SAP Jam instance. In that case you can go to the admin console and create the OAuth client. API access requires the advanced+ or enterprise edition of SAP Jam.

You are refering to the "test portal". Do you mean the test instance that customers get with their productive instance? https://jam4.sapjam.com just reference to one of our data centers. Within that data center there are multiple SAP Jam instances for our customers. Just from that RL it is not possible to say if it is a test instance.

Hi Ruediger,

Thanks for your reply!

I have registered a free SAP JAM test network at: Jam Login => then I clicked on the bottom right corner at:

It's Free! Sign Up Now.

========

This is the network, with which I would like to develop a SAP JAM App with API access.

Is this possible?

I will not use this portal for production (e.g.: that I will never register more than 5 users on it).

Thanks for your help!

Best,

Carli

Hi,

As I wrote earlier: API access is only provide with the advance+ and enterprise edition. The free edition does not provide API access.

Best,
