Procedure for Asset physical inventory in sap

Dear experts,

we want to carry out asset physical inventory for one of our client. I have read related sap note about this matter:

According to these notes I should create inventory lists (Info system ® Report selection ® Asset portfolio) and distribute them to the employees carrying out the inventory but I could not find Asset portfolio in this way.

I have set inventory field in asset Master data & also I've seen asset physical inventory transaction code such as :S_ALR_87011979. this transaction doesn't have any fields for user to book manually result of observation.

I would greatly appreciate if you show me a complete procedure for asset physical inventory with related transaction.

Hello Leila,

For inventory we have the following lists:

SAP Menu
-> Financial Accounting
-> Fixed Assets
  -> Asset Accounting Information System
   -> Asset Balances
    -> Inventory Lists
     -> Physical Inventory List

Also, I would suggest the following report:
report RAGITT_ALV01.

1) Create Sort variant in transaction OAVI
2) nclude the fields in the report

EG.

ANLA-INKEN  Inventory indicator
ANLA-IVDAT  Last inventory date
ANLA-INVZU  Supplementary inventory specifications

your answer has two parts:

About part part 1:

As i mentioned before these transaction doesn't have any fields for user to book manually result of observation.

About Part 2:

I did all steps , create a sort variant which was included fields & then i execute the report with new sort variant.report executed & i can see this field. But i cant book manually result of observation.

my main requirement is a field which user cant book manually result of  inventory observation.

Hello Leila,

I don't believe there is a way of manually entering data from an physical observation on the standard system.

You could consider Fields ANLA-INVNR and  ANLA-SERNR which are for information purpose.

In particular field "Inventory number" (ANLA-INVNR) is relevant for std. query

AQZZ/SAPQUERY/AM01============     > (Transaction S_ALR_87011979)

If you set indicator "Include asset in Inventory list" (ANLA-INKEN)
the asset will be displayed in the query with the "Inventory number"
