Alias for urls

Hi experts,

I have some b2b shops with long url... for example:

http://<server>:<port>/b2b/b2b/init.do?scenario.xcm=conf_ipc_bob_prj&shop=INTERNAL&language=ES

http://<server>:<port>/b2b/b2b/init.do?&language=ES&shop=SHOP_PRJ&umelogin=YES&scenario.xcm=conf_ipc_prj

http://<server>:<port>/b2b/b2b/init.do?&shop=SHOP_PRJ_DE&umelogin=YES&scenario.xcm=conf_ipc_prj_de&language=DE

http://<server>:<port>/b2b/b2b/init.do?&shop=SHOP_PRJ_PT&umelogin=YES&scenario.xcm=conf_ipc_prj_pt&language=PT

http://<server>:<port>/b2b/b2b/init.do?&shop=SHOP_PRJ_EN&umelogin=YES&scenario.xcm=conf_ipc_prj_en&language=EN

Is it possible create any alias or similar for avoid write all URL?

Hi Victor,

That you can achieve by changing struts-config.xml and it may lead to some other changes as well.

To understand a bit more, as I observed that you have configured different Scenario for different languagues, have you Changed any other XCM other than languague?

Hi Victor,

You can use the below urls and you can also change your these URLs as well but you need to make the change in your web.xml & struts-config.xml and you have to also check that how big this change will be and what else is also going to impact.

http://host:Port/b2b/admin/xcm/init.do
http://host:Port/b2c/admin/xcm/init.do
http://host:Port/shopadmin/admin/xcm/init.do
http://host:Port/isauseradm/admin/xcm/init.do

There are several shops for different languages and other INTERNEL shop...

How can change it?

For example, instead of:

http://<server>:<port>/b2b/b2b/init.do?&language=ES&shop=SHOP_PRJ&umelogin=YES&scenario.xcm=conf_ipc_prj

I want write similar:

http://shop_prj_des

Hi Victor,

To make these changes you need to create the project of XCM module and then you have to make the changes in web.xml & struts-config.xml files to do the mappings.

What type of project?

What changes in web.xml?

What changes in struts-config.xml?

I thought something more simple... a new alias, a new URL, without the parameters, and internally, map the parameters.

Hi Victor,

I don't think that we can change the URL without making changes in the project.

To make these changes, you have to find XCM's sca file and then create the project of that on NWDS and maken the necessary changes.

Well my suggestion is that most likely your customer would have some reverse proxy / web dispatcher so work with Basis/Network team and create public internet facing external URLs so that all requests are routed to this proxy and from there internally route to desired internal URL
