WWI service WwiSvcU terminated with service-specific error 100

We have multiple WWI servers running WwiSvcU as a service.  Generally the system is very stable.  However, from time to time we see the event:

The WWI_GENSRV_SYNC1 service terminated with service-specific error 100 (0x64).

Where WWI_GENSRV_SYNC1 is the service name for WwiSvcU

Can anyone advise as to the reason for this termination and correct?

may be 

could be of interest. SAP has improved in the last years the handling of WWI serves etc. E.g. SAP Basis can now get mails if server chrash  etc. PLease check SAP marketplace; the numnber of improvments in this context is quite high and simplify the life.

Message: The WWI_GENSRV_SYNC1 service terminated with service-specific error 100 (0x64)." indicate issues and  is such type of "crash"; please check options to "restart" automatic services etc. (check WWI cookbook). If needed create OSS; you can assume an error fix might be needed; check if you use current WWI version; if yes: create the OSS; may be a new error correction is needed

I'm certain we are not current with WWI server application.  So I will look into that.

What is the best source of WWI updates?

Also thanks for link to service admin utility.  We've adjusted Event logging accordingly.  Hopefully that will provide additional information.

for WWI updates: simply check SAP marketplace;  You can assume that at least two updates per year are delivered by SAP
