Dear Jason,
High Roll Time can be related with a problem between the front-end and the back-end such a network problem. I found the following case of study with a similar problem as the one you have (the author has a problem with DIALOG task type):

It could be a good idea to do a system trace with transaction ST12 to check where the time is going during the execution of the application.
