Validation - BW Aggregate List - 0CS_ITEM missing

Hi All,

I am trying to write a validation method.

Type of Data Stream =  Total Records

Validation type = Data Rows are Totalled

in the BW Aggregate List,0CS_ITEM is missing.

I have the following  :

Controlling Area

Cons Chart of Account

FYV

Posting Period

Fiscal Year

Posting Level

Cons Group

Company

Version

I tried aggregating the transaction cube for validation purposes... but still it is not reflecting in BCS...

Kindly advise in this regard....

I am facing the same issue while creating IUE methods, I am unable to select the FS Items list under complex selection.

Please clarify...

Hi Vicki,

please check your data basis for the role assignment if the role "Item" is assigned correctly.

sometimes a re-generation of the data Basis and/or cons area might help.

I checked the data basis and it seems to be ok ;

item  /1fb/cs_item   0cs_item  item

I could regenerate the consolidation area, but data basis - there are no changes to generate it again...

to Regenerate the data Basis you should move one of the caracteristics from the list up or down - than genarete the DB.

Hi Thomas, thank you for your reply... but still I don't see 0CS_ITEM in Validation-> Method Creation-> BW Aggregates -> Characteristics....

is there anything else I have to do?

Hi Vicki,

ok, I understand what you try to do.

The BW aggregets show you the used characteristics in your Validation method.

If you have no method steps defined with char. item- there is no item in the list.

Define a method step, e.g. assets = liabiliteis.

Save the method.

go back to the method overview and check the BW aggregates - you will see the item.

The BW aggregates dispalyd for Performance Information only, you cannot select any characterists there.
