Ho w to avaid the predecessor activity while activating

Hi ,

i have crated an activity for some changes and checked in by mistake with error in one file from the DC.I got checked in but not got activated.
could anyone help me to either delte the activity.i checked out the errored file and made the correction.if i try to heck in the precessor activity also try to get activated and end up with same error.

Please help to find the solution not to get the predecessor activity get avitated?

anyway your latter activity will overwrite it. what to worry about?

Hi Jun Wu,

actually the first activiy got failed while activation and later after analysis i found it was due to some error in one of the files.So i corrected that error by creating a new activity.So if i include the predecessor, it will fail again and will stop the later actitivy as well rite?

Please suggest.

just force the activation. there is a check box for that purpose

Ok..i going to checkin and activate my second activity now  and update here if i face any issues.

I was able to activate both the activites successfully..now my question is do i need to release both the activites for transport or relasing the later would be fine

activy one has- 3 files (1 with error)

activy 2 has- 1 file with the error corrected
