Is there any other T-code to know a field´s length and type?

Hi!
I do no have access to SE11, and, quickly I must perform a LSMW mass update, although I can´t see the fields characteristics.

Is there any other way other from SE11 to know this information!?

Thanks.

Another option is transaction code SE16N if you know the table where the field resides.  Or you can always navigate to the field on the infotype it resides and do an F1 and then select 'Technical Information'.

Hi,

In addition to SE16N, if you want field length while creating LSMW, you can directly get from recording.

1st option of LSMW, table/list format.

you can view.

Please let me know if further details required.

Thanks,

Ketul

You mean while creating the recording or in the recording overview?

Could you send a print screen?

Thanks a lot, Scott.
SE16N is not an option since I do not have access either...
And I did looked at the Techincal Info but the layout for that, here at my company, doe snot display field Lenght or type.

Once you pull up the technical information, double click on the field name.  This should provide the information you are needing.

Also, if you do not have the appropriate access to SE16N, etc. ( in production I am assuming ), maybe look in your development or test environment for this information.

Sorry for late reply! Thaks a lot.
Seems that it was easier to ask for access to SE11.

Thanks a lot for your support.

Yes, access to SE11 would be easier but that access is usually only given to developers.
