We have SAP Business Objects Xi 31. I am trying to create a group that has security to only let its users...
I feel like I'm close. I have created a custom Access Level and associated it with this group. I login as this user and I am able to open Instance Manager, but I can not see any reports. What other access do I need to add? Add it to the group or the Access Level?
Thanks for your help.
Ken
Ken,
I moved this to the BI Platform space for faster response

That worked. Thanks, Seems simple but for a novice like myself, was not clear until now.
Still have a problem.
I have added (Full access No Delete) to the folders.
I can now see all reports but when I right click on a report and choose rerun, it immediately fails with Error Message: Refresh Failed (80043763)
Not sure where else to check.
For troubleshooting purposes only, I have given my group full access to the following areas and I still can not rerun a failed report.
Thanks
Kenneth
Hi Kenneth,
To drill down to the cause of the issue, please check the below :
1. Are you able to refresh the report in Webi Rich Client and Infoview using Administrator account
2. Are you able to refresh the report in Webi Rich Client and Infoview using the new user you have created ?
3. Are you able to schedule the report using Administrator account ?
4. Is the issue specific to one Webi Report ?
5. If schedule and refresh works fine with Administrator, give the top-level rigths to the new user by unchecking the inheritance.
Also, I guess Refresh Failed (80043763) is generally seen with Deski Reports, so are these Webi reports converted from Deski ?

Our implementation specialist had setup a group called InfoView and Deski users. I added my group to this group and it allowed me to rerun the reports. Now I will go through and start removing some of the extra security I granted and see how far I can go while still being able to accomplish my goal.
Thanks for your assistance.
Kenneth
