Hi Saurav,

Name of the order types could be any thing such as ZORD, ZSIT, ZRET, ZETC...

By looking at the name we can't understand. But we have sales document category field which tells us what document type it is.

For example if you take your ZORD look for the document category and if it is suppose C in that case it is for sure copied from sales order and later you might have made some changes as per the requirements.

also you can look in the transport where in "object in request" or the "fields" which has been copied will be there with the field names and table names.

Thanks,

Hi TW,

Although I am not sure there are two fields in table from which you might get the result.

TVAK-Version Number and

TVAK-Field Selection.

saurav,

very nice! these fields look like indicating the reference document type.

But in one test, I got some other result

OR copied and created Z1OR, here TVAK-AUGRP (version number compo) gives TA - correct

But Z1OR copied and created Z2OR, here it gives TA, but correct would be Z1OR

Test this and let us know.

Hi,

We can also find out the Reference Document type by using Copy Control (VTAA).

Because while taking the Copy as functionality system by default will maintain Copy Control settings.

May be this will helpful to find out the reference Document Type.

saurav,

It seems like ZORD is created by referring to OR

Why exactly do you want to know the reference order type? What does it impact?

Hi TW,

No. I want to know he process or name of the table from which I would know that ZOR was created from doc. type OR or whether someone has copied it from a scheduling agreement.

I want to know the source document from which the new sales document type is created.

Any inputs regarding this will be highly appreciated.

Saurav,

I created a new order type by referring to OR. I could not find OR in any table (linked to the new order type). Not sure if this information can be retrieved!

Please explain why you are searching for this information. Is it impacting in any way (in the new document type)?
