Hi,
You will need to authenticate with username and password.
What is your basis release?
For SAP system from SAP Basis Release 731 (with basis support package level SAPKB73106 or higher) AND at least Kernel 7.21 check Note 1702632 for a detailed explanation how to do that.
If you do not satisfy that condition, as note says, you have to consider the options at the end of the note.
One option is to install a relay server and provide authentication. Check this blog;

Hi James,
In SCOT -> default domain am using my company domain name like example.co.in.
The mail is received only the people who belongs to this domain like ram@example.co.in and mail is not not triggering other domains like gmail.
When i remove this domain name from default domain in SCOT, mail is not receiving to both domain users and external mail ID's. When i push from SOST am getting following error message "mail cannot be sent"
Thank you.

Hi Vetrivel,
Please check in RZ10 whether these two parameters are there or not. If not , add it.
icm/server_port_2 = PROT=SMTP, PORT =25000, TIMEOUT = 180
is/SMTP/virt_host_0 = *:25000;
Please note that first apply on DEVELOPMENT server , the only in any other system.
I have given the above two parameters, and it started working for me .
Regards
Praveen

Hi Praveen,
I have used following parameter whatever you have mentioned but still am facing the same issue,
icm/server_port_2 = PROT=SMTP, PORT =25000,TIMEOUT = 180
is/SMTP/virt_host_0 = *:25000
After changing this value i have restarted my development server also but still same problem...
Thank you.
