Hello Guys,
I have a requirement to receive emails from the SMTP mail server and detach the attachment to process across to ECC in the form of IDOC.
I am unable to resolve my very first step of fetching emails from the SMTP server from all the research I have done on SCN. I found that Sender Email channel just supports POP3 and IMAP4 transport protocol.
However in one of the SAP notes as per the screenshot below, it seems as if its possible.
Please can anyone tell me the exact configurations if its is possible to configure a Sender EMAIL SMTP channel.
Thank you!
Regards,
Simran
Hi Simran,
Sender channel will support Pop3 or IMAP4 but if you are unable to pick the mail from the server then this means pls check with your network team whether POP3 protocol is activated in the exchange server?

Hi,
You can use SMTP in receiver mail adapter as transport protocol, not in sender. You need to configure either IMAP4 or POP3 as transport protocol for Sender mail channel.
