Factory Calendar in Sales Org and Shipping Point

Hello Experts,

We have assigned Factory Calendar A in our Sales Org. Now we are creating a new Plant for the same Sales Org. We are also creating a new Shipping Point for which we are creating a new Factory Calendar B. Now my question is that if we have different Factory Calendar in Sales Org and Shipping Point then will the Shipping Point factory calendar take precedence over sales org factory calendar in order and delivery?

In that case what is the significance of maintaining factory calendar in Sales Org when it gets overwritten by Shipping Point Factory Calendar to calculate delivery dates.

Sales org calendar might impact sales order level whereas shipping point might influence dates in the delivery (depending on your settings).

We have factory calendar for sales org, plant and shipping point. Even routes can reference different factory calendars. This is available so each sales org/plant/shipping point can fine tune its own calendar without impacting other areas.

It gives the SAP customer more options to reference different calendars for different activities related to shipping and billing as well.
