Dear Team,
BYD is a complete ERP but i feel there is lack of hold on inventory movement tracking (which is a Must thing in logistics),
Below are few areas which may become key points for promoting SAP BYD with SMB in large scale too.
I am not able to get below (KEY) report are:
1) Serial number tracking : at this point its only informative (no report can be generated or not displayed in In Hand Stock report)
2) Stock aging report : No report on stock aging.
Hence i request you all to please help me to solve above two lacuna (or suggest any workaround available).
Thanks.
Regards

Hello Vishal,
How are you?
1) Serial number tracking : at this point its only informative (no report can be generated or not displayed in In Hand Stock report)
I don't know if there is a report. I will check this and try to answer this.
2) Stock aging report : No report on stock aging.
For this, we have the data source : Inventory Ageing
Go to Business analytics
Design Data Sources
Search for the data source
Click on New - Select report
follow the steps and complete the procedure.
This will create the new report based on the Inventory Ageing data source.
I will check in the test systems and provide you the answer for the point 1.
Cheers

Hi Harshal,
Again you helped me... Thanks a ton...
I have seen report & it suffice my needs.
I am not using Identification Stock ID for many materials.. but still all materials inventory aging its showing...
My queries are
1) Can I get reference document / Inbound ID for In Hand Stock?
2) Currently its showing all product Inventory Age (In Days) 734746- (which means /365 as year = 2013) Data should show accurate figures. Attaching report FYI.
Many thanks for your valuable reply

Hello Vishal,
1) Can I get reference document / Inbound ID for In Hand Stock?
Ans : I assume that you should be able to get this details.
Inventory Ageing data source does not have the details about the source document. But you can join two or more data source and get all the details in one report using joined/Combined data source.
You can check data source : FININVU01 / Report : FININVU01_Q0001 (Material Inventories - Line Items).
Line item data source will have the source document ID details and inventory aging will have the aging details.
Not sure whether this will work and suffice your need or not.
So Basically, Now if you need aging as well as source document in the same report, you will need to create new joined or combined data source, Design the report based on the newly created data source.
2) Currently its showing all product Inventory Age (In Days) 734746- (which means /365 as year = 2013) Data should show accurate figures.
- I did not understand the query.
Since I am no expert in this area (reports as well as logistics). Can you please provide some more details, may be I can check then.

Harshal
Hello Vishal,
Looks like using start date and end date while executing the reports shows the correct data.
Basically from your attachment what I understood is you have not entered any selection parameters.
And I think you don’t get the option to provide the selection values as well.
So follow the below steps to enter the values in the selection.
Now execute the report again with the selection parameters (Make sure to enter start date and end date).
Now the inventory age (In days) should show the exact number of days.
Let me know the outcome.
Cheers,
Harshal
