error AA311 during definition of the settlement rule

Hi all,

I'm facing the error AA311 when I try to define the settlment rule in the WBE master data.

The settlement rule should settle the cost posted to the WBE into the AUC. The AUC was created in background when the WBE was released.

with the transaction CJ88 and AIAB is not possible to create the settlement rule due to the following error

Maintain the settlemen profile

Dear Stefano,

Kindly crated a settlement profile and assign the same to the Project profile of the orer type you are using.

the settlement profile is nothing but, letting the system know to which the cost has to be settled

i.e 1. cost center, Auc, WBS , COPA etc.

In your case it is an AUC so check the check box in settlement profile, once creating settlement profile assign the same to project profile of the order type ( I mean investment order, network order ).

Once this is assigned, you can create the settlement rule in the project.

Hi MS Lokesh,

let me recap the issue that I have:

- when I release the WBE the system create the AUC master data in the WBE

- then I insert in the wbe the settlement profife and I create the settlement rule in the WBE master data. At this stage I receive the message AA311.

One of the suggestion that I receive is to create the settlemen rule using the transaction CJ88 and run it in test mode. In this case I receive the error message KD051 Maintain the settlmen profile.

Dear Stefano,

As i mentioned in the previous comment, you need to maintain a settlement profile first and assign it to the order type of the project.  In our case Investment project order type.

In the settlment profile maintain AUC.

Then in the Create a settlement Rule maintain to which AUC it has to be settled, in your case the AUC which the system automaticallu created during the release of the project will be defaulted.

Check the status of AUC for the asset class of the AUC. Whether investment measure has selected or not.

Hi Stefano,

According to this Error AA311 you can not post "directly" to the asset. This is because the asset is an "investment measure" so it can only  be posted through the settlements to the investment order/project, i.e. by T code - CJ88.  

Whenever you have created an asset as an investment measure then system automatically creates an AUC in background. We have to settle this AUC to main/final asset by creating the settlement rule accordingly in the relvant iinternal order for settlement. And then we have to settle the cost to AUC which has been created automatically in background. You can use KO88/CJ88 for settlement.

the problem occurs when I try to define the settlment rule in the WBE master data using the transaction CJ02.

The AUC related to the WBE is inserted in the settlement rule
