transition from lease transaction to fixed asset

Hi, i'm new to SAP and my boss gave me the first job.  but i need SAP experts' help.

here's the situation.

the company leased forklift as a lease on 2010 and made payment to bank as just expense (not asset related)

but the company wants to change the transaction type to fixed asset for 5 years useful life. (2010 to 2015)

so i need to know how do i change the adjust payment history (?) of forklift transaction and if i do that what kind affect to the this company's accounting

system? such as balance sheet and etc..

i know my explanation is not very clear but if any of you experts know how to do it please let me know

Hi,

If you change the useful life, this changing will affect all open fiscal years.
