MII 12.1 - Outbound connection change

Hi Experts,

I would need to change the outbound connection for ECC system in MII 12.1. The IDOC's are getting received from PI interface which is connected with  new ECC.

so changing hostname in the Jco's of system connection editor and maintaining the SAPMEINT_ALE password in crendential editor are sufficient?

Thanks in advance

Hi!

If you want to change SAPMEINT setup (ERP settings of SAPMEINT in particular), you just need to re-run SAPMEINTCTC. This is the only holistic way officially recommended.

Hi Sergiy,

Thanks for the reply

Here the Idoc's are not getting received on XMIIIDOC1 with SAPMEINT.

If I run SAPMEINT , then I should give the ECC system details for Inbound connection ( In my scenario..ECC sends order to PI > MII)..ECC should not send to MII directly.

Now how can I change/maintain the outbound connection ECC system host  for receiving the processed messages ( ( MII > ECC)

will appreciate your help

Thanks in advance

Hi!

Could you please confirm whether my understanding below of your requirements is correct?

1. Inbound messages should go from ECC to PI and then from PI to SAPMEINT.

2. Outbound messages should go from SAPMEINT to ECC directly.

So, that means you need to configure the same SAPMEINT instance to receive messages from PI system but send messages to ECC system.

Sergiy

Hi Sergiy,

Thanks for the reply.

Hereunder the scenario is given.

1) ECC > PI > MII (Using a web interface without SAPMEINT )

2) For outbound messages from MII to ECC directly...without PI

Now I need to change the ECC hostname for receiving outbound message. The ECC hostname has already been changed on PI interface.

Thanks in advance

Hi!

Not sure if I understand how SAPMEINT is involved in this scenario, but as concerns the connection to ERP, please check these settings:

- Credentail Editor in MII;

- Connections in MII;

- Application Resource in NWA to update XMIIIDOCxx resource adapters;

- Message Listeners in MII to update XMIIIDOCxx listeners.

Sergiy

Hello Daniel,

I assume your company uses PI as the integration component for ECC. Now, you want to setup the ME ERP integration (MEINT) to go through PI. That would allow you to still use the standard MEINT integration interfaces while staying compliant to your company policy to use PI.

Is my understanding correct?

Best Regards,

Miguel

Dear Daniel,

Please, use available resources lile the Troubleshooting guide

and ask more specific questions in this forum. When ask, please, specify:

a) Your configuration.

Hi Alexander,

Thanks for the reply.

Idocs are not getting received through SAPMEINT like the standard scenario..it uses web interface from PI to push through them to MII..Here the ECC is connected with PI

PI > MII ( no issue with this)

Now for the backflush/oubound connection( ME> MII> ECC) would want to change the ECC system so the processed messages could go back to it. I hope Jco connections would be used for this purpose.

Please tell me the procedure for same.

Thanks in advance
