Configuration of Mobile Documents Android client with Afaria

Hi experts,

a partner of us is looking for a way to configure the Android Mobile Documents client with Afaria. With iOS they are creating a policy that uses the variables server.url and server.user just like it is explained in the Mobile Documents documentation and this is working fine. For Android they didn't find a way to do this. Does anyone know how to do this?

The procedure should be the same for Android as described in the documentation: Integrating SAP Afaria. Does this not work here?

unfortunately it is not the same, the configuration page of Android and iOS looks very different.

iOS looks like this:

I dont know wherer to enter that two values. There is no "Managed App Configuration" in the Android policy.

Hi,

Can you please try following steps:

• Create a Group
• Create Enrollment policy and assign it to the Group from Enrollment policy page
• Create Android Enterprise Policy
• Add the apk of SAP Mobile Documents to the Android Enterprise Policy
• Create a text file with following content and upload it in the Configuration tab

server.URL=<the server url you want to access>
server.user=%S.UserName%

• Go to Group's page and assign the Android Enterprise Policy

Enroll your device with this Afaira server and receive the settings on the device

Hi,

The apk is not yet available externally. Hence, you have to use the Android Market policy.

You can follow the steps below:

• Create a Group
• Create Enrollment policy and assign it to the Group from Enrollment policy page
• Create Android Market Policy
• In General tab - mention com.sap.mcm.android as package and press update
• Create a text file with following content and upload it in the Configuration tab

server.URL=<the server url you want to access>

server.user=%S.UserName%

• Go to Group's page and assign the Android Market Policy
