Priorities assigned to positions in org

Hi Experts

I just have a question in relation to assigning priorities to positions in an org unit.

We are currently running an exercise to assign priorities to all positions in our org structure so that the chief will display at the top of the org unit above all other positions within PPOSE/PPOME.

However, to make the process simpler, we are hoping to assign all non-chief positions the same priority, eg. "B", and all chiefs a higher priority, eg. "A".

My question then would be: Would assigning the same priority of "B" to all non-chief positions in an org have any impact on anything?

As far i understand it does not make any impact unless and un till you use it for any other reasons.
