500 error when transport HANA LCM

Dear all,

I have created two hana instances , one for development and one for Quality. When I try to do the DU transport between two systems I get 500 error

Also have you tried using the HTTP destination tester between the two systems?

Can you confirm you are using the correct HTTP URL?

It should be in the format host-xxxx. It is not the full URL.

Please also check the value of the parameter max_runtime_bytes - (xsengine.ini > jsvm > max_runtime_bytes). Try setting this to 1GB.

Yes ping works fine. There are no errors indicated in indexserver logs, all I can see is error logs in xsengine as below:

It is not even trying to import, just errors out as soon as we hit import.

Hmmmm maybe see if space is the cause of the issue? Maybe try to clean up some backups and try the import again?

You could also try to redeploy the auto_content by following SAP Note 2214890 to ensure the base DU's are installed correctly.

Connecting to the OS level of the HANA appliance withadm user Executing the command below to re-do the repository upgrade:

/usr/sap//SYS/global/hdb/install/bin/hdbupdrep --content_directory=/usr/sap//SYS/global/hdb/auto_content

We split the DU in 2 parts and tried to transport, which got successfully imported. Not sure if this was an issue with size of the DU or the limitation of objects in the DU. Are you aware of any parameters which restrict the size of DU or number of objects ?

Hello Srikar,

Glad to hear you fixed the issue. As I understand there is no memory limits with transporting DU's. If this was the issue you would have seen an "allocation error" or an OOM when trying the transports.

Is it limited to some kind of HANA version ?
