FIM: Cannot run job, error 'String index out of range: 0'

Hello,

On sandbox landscape I installed SAP FIM 10, sp10.

We tested(create and ran) jobs FC-to-BPC, DB-to-FC, DB-to-IC and it's worked fine.

But after we run job ERP-to-FC(IC) we got some error:

com.sap.fpm.fim.common.webservice.WSException: The job launch for job 'test_291' failed with error 'String index out of range: 0'. Error occurs immediately after run job.

All datastores in FIM works fine.

Can anybody help me?

Can you check if the following KBA is relevant:

1918610 - FIM: Error "Failed to generate ATL file" when saving a job
with ECC as source system

Thank you Mariam, but it's not my incident.

This error happened after update FIM10 from sp8 to sp10.

Hi Daulet,

Can you please tell me:

- what DS version you have

- if there are any filters on source dimensions

- if all jobs with ECC as source are failing

Hello,

   In fact  , a regresseion was noticed with  Dataservices 4.1  . The Job run fails with ECC as
source connection if no filter on dimension is applied :

  The current worksaround is to  set a filter on a dimension

We use SAP FIM10 sp10, DataServices 4.1,  BI 4.0 sp7.

Soumaya I don't understand, how can I set filter on a dimension?

All works before we upgrade the FIM.(we didn't upgrade DS)
