Hello to all,
I do not need to index all of the files within SAP-DMS. I where asked to save disk-space (index) on the server where TREX is running.
My idea is to exclude files from indexing on the level of SAP DMS DIR-Types, but I didn't found the possibility to do so.
Are there any suggestions how I can configure this?
Best regards
Harald
Hello Harald,
is this issue still up-to-date?
About which search engine are we talking?
I had exactly the same idea and implemented this for Embedded Search via BAdI BADI_ESH_IF_OBJECT_DATA_ENH.
If you are using SES this should be straight forward implementation.
Best regards,
Malte

Hi Harald,
on the TREX side there is an option to exclude the documents from indexing based on the size , and mime type. F.e. if you have some ZIP archives that not need to be indexed with content , you can remove the corresponded mimetype from TREXValidMimeTypes.ini (restart of TREXPreprocessor is required).
Best regards,
Mikhail
