Is SAP Retail addons for SAP ERP?

I would like to have basic information about SAP retail.

     1. Is it addons for SAP ERP or is it completely different from SAP ERP?

     2. Does it have point-of-sale implementation feature?

Hi Viktor Wijaya,

Like Other ERP system SAP IS Retail is complete package for retail Industry and it is a Industry Specific solution that covers all Retail Business Process. it's not an addons.

SAP IS Retail have POS Implementation features and Integration of POS System is Possible in SAP IS Retail.

Hi Viktor

I would say that SAP Retail is part of SAP ERP, with the retail business process and functionality activated on it. If you check component version for your retail system (through System--> Status), you would see it as (EHPX FOR SAP ERP X.0). It is not a saperate box from SAP ERP.

Though POS will be different package that can be integrated to SAP IS Retail. You can integrate any POS system with your SAP IS retail system, but it will not be part of SAP IS Rteail box.
