error fetching catalog in hr renewal ess admin and other pages

We are in process of implementing ECC6 EHP7 HR renewal 2.0 with the latest FP. We have activated Netweaver gateway , also the related services have been activate.

We have assigned the roles SAP_EMPLOYEE_ESS_UI5_1 , SAP_MANAGER_MSS_CR_UI5_1

After assigning the roles , to check the admin page we have launched the below url

https://<server>:44300/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_spb_admn/main.html?sap-client=100&sap-language=EN

the below error is show “Error while Fetching Calaogs” despite of the role assignment

Also if we remove the role assignment I am able to access the admin page with no catalogs. But I was able to create new catalog named ESS

Even after assigning the newly created catalog named ESS , still the page builder page shows Error fetching catalog

Experts pls help

what error you see in /iwfnd/error_log are you launching via PFCG role? or se80? http://scn.sap.com/community/gateway/blog/2013/03/26/netweaver-gateway-t-code-summary

hi

I checked the error log in the transaction , but there is no error log

I also tried to do sqltrace  , but no luck.

hi

i have raised it to SAP , they are in processing to resolve the issue , this error comes if you are on support pack 7 for HR renewal 2.0 ,

even if you have upgraded from earlier support pack to a new one , this issue will come.

In our landscape , we are facing issue in two such systems.

Very importantly you must understand how the gateway is installed.

1. If it is an embedded gateway then implement note 2087759 in the same system.

2 If you have stand alone gateway then please identify which system has your UI applicaiton and that is where you need to deploy the note. As well make sure you deploy the note in ERP system as well.

If you don't follow right process in case of point 2, you will end up wasting a lot of time analyzing this issue.

We r still checking but the issue seems to be resolved.
