Different Nakisa org charts showing different employee groups

Hello,

We are on Nakisa OrgChart 4.0 SP1. We are using the SAP_Live_RFC build. We need two Org Charts,but one only needs to show employees from a certain employee group, while the other one shows employees from another employee group. Can anyone help me out of how this can done in Nakisa OrgChart? Thank you for your input and suggestions!

Hi Thalia.

The data elements are used to interact with the RFCs that get the data.  Assuming your data is being passed through in the results from the relevant RFCs you can then apply data filters to limit the data returned (see section 7.3 in the 4.0 SP1 OrgChart admin guide).  If the data is not in an RFC you would need to enhance the ABAP.

With the data elements in place you can create new hierarchies (maybe just one and modify one of the standard ones to give you the two - depends if you need an unfiltered one as well) and associate the appropriate data elements for managing the returned data.

As an aside, if this is a new implementation you may wish to look at using a newer version of OrgChart.  Currently 4.1 SP2 is available.

Thanks for your reply.

We have now deployed  4.1 SP2. Thanks for you suggestion.

I have copied the default Nakisa OrgChart and changed in the XML the dataelement. This datalement is using our own RFC (copy of the Nakisa one) in which we changed the abap code.
